Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati seeks an HVAC Technician responsible for installs, repairs and maintenance of refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and related equipment across facilities.

You will troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems, perform preventive maintenance, read wiring diagrams and calibrate controls, and keep service records. Requires 2–4 years of HVAC/refrigeration experience; EPA/CFC refrigerant certification due within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
• 2-4 years of documentable HVAC maintenance and refrigeration experience.
• Experience with chillers, boilers, package units, VAV systems and automated controls.
• Able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits, read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Certification required within first 90 days (EPA Recovery, CFC Recovery Type 2).

Responsibilities

• Understands basic refrigeration cycle and identifies components in the circuit.
• Inspect, repair and install HVAC equipment including compressors, condensers, chillers, boilers and pumps.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on HVAC systems and controls.
• Maintain records of labor, materials and parts used; order parts as needed.
• Operate tools and electrical systems safely, adhering to codes.
