EMI Services, a subsidiary of TechFlow, is hiring an HVAC Technician I to support mission-critical infrastructure at Camp Lejeune. You will maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems, read schematics, and diagnose issues to keep systems within regulated climatic conditions. EPA Universal Certified technicians with base access are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA license (Universal Refrigeration) required.
• 2+ years in maintenance, repair, installation of commercial HVAC systems.
• EPA Type II Refrigeration license and HVAC coursework required.
• Valid driver's license; willingness to obtain REAL ID where applicable.
• U.S. citizenship to access military installations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, replace, and modernize HVAC systems on Camp Lejeune.
• Diagnose malfunctions and determine efficient repair methods.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot refrigeration cycles.
• Prepare work orders and cost estimates for materials.
• May train lower-level technicians in repair techniques.

EMI Service is hiring HVAC Technicians to support mission-critical infrastructure at Camp Lejeune! Specializing in commercial HVAC, the Technician performs maintenance, repair, replacement, and modernization of HVAC systems in order to achieve regulated climatic conditions. Position requires the Technician has extensive knowledge of HVAC principles and the ability to recognize and determine the most efficient method for diagnosing, testing and correcting malfunctions. The ideal EMI HVAC Technician is EPA Universal Certified and has the skill level to make repairs on a variety of systems.

Salary

TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE $50.38 per hour!

$35.13/ hr. plus $15.25 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Key Responsibilities

• Work on various types of HVAC units: split package, residential style, and up to light commercial, mini-splits, VAV's and AHU
• Use a multi-meter to check voltage lamp
• Use a torch for brazing
• Prepare work orders and cost materials estimates
• May assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques

Essential Skills

• Work independently, a self-starter
• Read schematic diagrams
• Understand the Refrigeration cycle with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair strategies
• PRACTICE WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in the repair of HVAC equipment including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in the maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of COMMERCIAL heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• EPA type II Refrigeration License
• HVAC course or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• OVERTIME- nights and weekends
• U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
• Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
• Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
• Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
• Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
