EMI Services, a subsidiary of TechFlow, is hiring HVAC Technicians to support mission-critical infrastructure at Camp Lejeune. Specializing in commercial HVAC, the Technician maintains, repairs, replaces, and modernizes HVAC systems to achieve regulated climatic conditions while ensuring safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate is EPA Universal Certified, has 2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, and is prepared for overtime, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA Type II Refrigeration License required.
• HVAC course or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain various HVAC units (split package, residential to light commercial).
• Check voltages with a multi-meter and perform safety checks.
• Braze and join using torch where needed.
• Prepare work orders and materials cost estimates.
• May train lower-level workers in repair techniques.

EMI Service is hiring HVAC Technicians to support mission-critical infrastructure at Camp Lejeune! Specializing in commercial HVAC, the Technician performs maintenance, repair, replacement, and modernization of HVAC systems in order to achieve regulated climatic conditions. Position requires the Technician has extensive knowledge of HVAC principles and the ability to recognize and determine the most efficient method for diagnosing, testing and correcting malfunctions. The ideal EMI HVAC Technician is EPA Universal Certified and has the skill level to make repairs on a variety of systems.

Salary

TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE $50.38 per hour!

$35.13/ hr. plus $15.25 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Key Responsibilities

• Work on various types of HVAC units:
  • split package, residential style, and up to light commercial, mini-splits, VAV's and AHU
• Use a multi-meter to check voltage lamp
• Use a torch for brazing
• Prepare work orders and cost materials estimates
• May assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques

Essential Skills

• Work independently, a self-starter
• Read schematic diagrams
• Understand the Refrigeration cycle with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair strategies
• PRACTICE WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in the repair of HVAC equipment
  • including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in the maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of COMMERCIAL heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• EPA type II Refrigeration License
• HVAC course or equivalent
• Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• OVERTIME- nights and weekends
• U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
• Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
• Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
• Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
• Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
