Job summary

EMI Services, a TechFlow subsidiary, is seeking an HVAC Preventative Maintenance Helper to support Camp Lejeune operations. You will perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems and assist journeymen, while following safety standards. The role emphasizes on-site, hands-on work with a strong team focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years related experience or vocational training in building/utilities trades.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC refrigeration and/or systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect motors, pulleys and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts; repair or replace parts and reassemble equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

EMI Service is hiringHVAC Preventative Maintenance Helpersto support mission-critical infrastructure at Camp Lejeune! Performing preventive maintenance of various types of commercial HVAC equipment to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly is the primary responsibility of the Preventive Maintenance Helper. Types of equipment include air handlers and VAV systems. You may also assist workers and journeyman by performing general duties of lesser skill, such as keeping them supplied with materials and tools; holding materials and tools; and cleaning working area, machines, or equipment. The ideal EMI HVAC Helper performs any task as instructed while following all health and safety standards.

Salary

TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE $39.12 per hour!

$23.87/ hr. plus $15.25 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Key Responsibilities

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades
• Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Regular, dependable attendance
• OVERTIME- Available evenings & weekend
• U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
• Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
• Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
• Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
• Lifting and adjusting heavy objects, contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment
• Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions

Preferred Qualification

• HIGHLY prefer someone with basic knowledge of HVAC refrigeration and/or systems
• CFC License or ability to obtain CFC License (minimum Type 2) within 90 days of employment
