Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a dependable HVAC Maintenance Technician for day shift. You will maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and related systems, install equipment, and supervise preventive maintenance tasks.

Must have 2+ years healthcare maintenance and 5+ years HVAC/r experience, with a valid driver’s license. Pay range is $23.91–$44.46 per hour and benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent grad or 5+ years experience.
• Must read, write and speak conversational English.
• Must document records neatly and accurately.
• Must generate requisitions for materials and supplies.
• Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner.
• Ability to instruct others from blueprints and sketches.
• Ability to interpret written, oral or diagram instructions.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to calculate proportions, areas, volumes, etc.
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment.
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.

Job Description:

Shift Information:

Second Shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) – Sunday through Thursday

Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages. Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on all heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. Prepares the preventive maintenance schedule and produces reports. Coordinates and performs electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations. Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems, overseeing essential repairs and other duties. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under limited guidance. Monitors work performed by outside contractors to ensure requirements are met and results are documented properly. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs. Provides on-the-job skills training. Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services. Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes. [Required]
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment. [Required]
• Basic Microsoft office computer skills. [Required]

Education:

• High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience [Required]

Work Experience:

• 2+ years of healthcare maintenance experience [Preferred]
• 5+ years of hvac/r experience [Required]
• 3+ years commercial experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Driver's License (DL) [Required]
