Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a maintenance technician to support plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith and alarm systems. You will store, clean and dispose of supplies, apply finishes, maintain paint surfaces and keep accurate maintenance logs per policy.

Requirements include a High School Grad or Equivalent, 3+ years of related work experience, a valid Driver's License, and English proficiency. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Ability to communicate in English is required.
• 3+ years work experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems.

• Respond to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks daily.

Job Description:

Schedule Information

7am to 3:30 pm - Monday to Friday first shift

Assists in the operation and general maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems. Properly stores, cleans, and disposes of all supplies and equipment used per departmental policies and procedures. Applies protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, lacquer, and related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment, and other property. Maintains existing paint surfaces by matching and tinting appropriate paint products. Keeps current on maintenance logs and documentation. Other duties as assigned. Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards. May be required to respond to emergency calls and take call in accordance with facility protocols. Provides on-the-job skills training to staff. Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis in a timely manner. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under limited guidance.

• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals [Required]
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist [Required]
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes [Required]
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment [Required]
• Basic Microsoft office computer skills [Required]
