Job summary

Livingston Associates is seeking an HVAC Technician 2 in Rochester, NY. The candidate will perform preventive maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC equipment and building systems.

This role reports to the Skilled Trades Manager and is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with compensation of $30-35 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year college or technical school certificate or degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems.
• Ability to analyze system operations and determine corrective actions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights; valid NY driver's license.
• EPA universal certification preferred, or ability to obtain within three months.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment and related building systems.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and components.
• Respond to service requests via automated work order system and adjust priorities.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
• Coordinate and manage HVAC installations and major repair projects.
• Prepare estimates to support customer proposals.
• Provide technical support and guidance to properties.
