Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Technician 2 to deliver, install and service portable HVAC equipment. You’ll train customers and operators on safe operation, manage paperwork, and ensure equipment meets quality standards.

The role requires 3–5 years HVAC experience, a valid drivers license, and a willingness to work after hours including weekends. Base pay ranges from $21.38 to $30.72 hourly, with excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of formal HVAC experience/training.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to work after hours/weekends.
• HVAC Certificate preferred; licenses to work on refrigeration systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment; trains operator or customer on safe use.
• Directs customers to sign paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots and understands operation, function, and controls of equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
• Inspects and tests returned equipment for quality and appearance.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Installs flexible gas hose on propane and natural gas applications.
• Checks gas connections safely and correctly.
• Works with managers to track in-stock and rented equipment; on-call for emergencies.
