Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Experienced Technician II - HVAC for Cortland, New York. The role involves performing standard testing and evaluating products within the HVAC department as part of the Electrical team.

Shift options include 2nd and 3rd shifts with hourly pay between $21 and $26, plus a 10% shift differential. Intertek offers comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1.5 years of experience, or an Associate degree/formal training with 6 months of experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to use basic shop equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to review and convey technical information effectively; able to follow simple instructions and work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up test apparatus and operate equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate test gear and facilities.
• Prepare test samples and collect data per standards.
• Draft or assist in drafting technical reports and compile engineering data.
• Communicate with clients and management as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
