Job summary

Intertek, a global quality and safety solutions provider, is seeking entry level Technicians for the HVAC lab in Cortland, New York. The role supports engineering with routine testing, maintenance, and data analysis on 2nd or 3rd shift.

The Technician I position offers 2nd or 3rd shift with a base wage of $18–$21 per hour plus a 10% off-shift differential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Must be safety-conscious and follow OSHA practices.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up test apparatus.
• Perform basic data analysis and calculations.
• Provide excellent customer experience during onsite testing.
• Interact with customers professionally and maintain safety standards.
• Work with lead/crew to complete projects per procedures.
• Daily cleanup and maintenance of tools, site, and equipment.
• Attend mandatory training on products, installation methods, and safety.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and service technical equipment.
