Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Corpus Christi seeks an HVAC Technician 1 to deliver portable HVAC equipment, assist customers with setup and operation, and keep the shop organized and safe. You will learn to check in, clean and prepare equipment for rental and support other technicians on larger jobs.

The role requires 1–2 years in a service-related, customer-facing position, basic math, mechanical inclination, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work after hours and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a service-related role interacting with customers.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Must be able to work some after hours and weekend work during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment and trains the authorized operator on safe use.
• Directs customers to sign paperwork and keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots operation, function, specifications and controls of rental equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment to ensure quality.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Installs flexible gas hose on propane and natural gas applications.
• Checks gas connections using proper procedures.
• Works with managers and sales engineers to maintain records of in-stock and rented equipment.
• On call for emergency service on weekends and evenings.
