Insa Cannabis in Easthampton, MA is seeking an entry-level HVAC Technician I to assist with inspecting and maintaining all HVAC equipment and systems in the facility. You will support senior technicians, learn diagnostics, and help manage work orders.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 0-1 years in HVAC. A reliable vehicle, ability to work weekends, and willingness to follow safety procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry concepts.

• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions and support senior technicians.
• Participate in routine inspections and diagnose issues.

Job description

The HVAC Technician I is an entry level position who assists with inspecting and maintaining all HVAC equipment and systems in the facility, by furnishing the HVAC technicians with tools, materials, and supplies. They should have a strong working knowledge of HVAC systems as well as the tools related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of these systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Follow instructions and provide the necessary support to senior technicians
• Participate in routine inspections of buildings and equipment, and learn how to identify and diagnose issues
• Submit and complete work orders accurately and effectively
• Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and complete emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Assist with installation, maintenance and repair of ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation
• Keep logs and records of all maintenance functions
• Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and in good working order
• Accommodate a flexible schedule and respond to issues or problems rapidly
• Complete assigned tasks within the established timeframes and specifications
• Compliant with Company SOPs, and state and federal regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
• Follow applicable safety procedures by wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to management
• Behave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamwork
• Performs other duties as assigned

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods of time (8+ hours)
  • Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50lbs
  • Ability to climb a ladder, kneel, stoop, and bend at the waist regularly
  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and performing equipment maintenance.
  • Visual acuity is needed to accurately read small screens and fine print

  Workplace Environment

  • Indoor and outdoor maintenance settings, with exposure to mechanical parts and seasonal temperature changes
  • Exposure to high places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and loud noises
  • Consistent moderate background noise level due to machinery and HVAC
  • Exposure to cannabis odor and plant resins (PPE provided)
  • Moderate heat and humidity in controlled grow environments
  • Exposure to skin contact with plant resins, to which some individuals may be allergic (PPE provided)

  Pay Range: $24.00 - $30.19
