Job summary

Union Depot is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform preventive and reactive maintenance on ventilation and air conditioning systems. The role includes diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and keeping logs, with safety and compliance to health regulations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of HVAC experience, holds a Refrigeration/HVAC certification, and is willing to continue education in the field. Pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HVAC trade or vocational certification required.
• 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician.
• Willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
• Ten year work history if available for ATS environments.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
• Identifies maintenance risks on equipment
• Diagnoses electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
• Cleans, adjusts and repairs systems, and performs warranty services
• Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Provides technical direction and on-the-job training
• Keeps daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
• Ensures compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Complies with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements
• Assists with customers' queries
• Completes other duties as assigned
