Job summary

The Georgia Department of Defense is seeking a General Trades Tech 2 - HVAC to support the 116th Air Wing in Warner Robins, GA. The HVAC Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial facilities, ensuring reliable operation and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of proven HVAC Technician experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, schematics, and local codes.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems per standards and codes.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems for longevity.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs or part replacements.
• Communicate with customers and recommend system improvements.
• Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and inventory.
