Job summary

Northern Heating & Plumbing in Hancock, Michigan is seeking dependable HVAC Technicians/Plumbers for a full-time role serving both residential and commercial customers. Training is available for motivated candidates with entry-level experience.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with overtime paid for weekend on-call or emergency work. Benefits include a company vehicle with fuel card, a SIMPLE IRA with company matching, PTO, sick time, holidays, and a company cell phone.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
• HVAC certification and/or Journeyman Plumber License is preferred, however we will train someone motivated with some entry level experience in commercial or residential HVAC or plumbing.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems for homes and businesses.
• Troubleshoot and fix plumbing systems including water heaters, drains, pipes, and fixtures.
• Read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Perform routine maintenance on heating, cooling, and plumbing systems.
• Respond to service calls professionally and promptly.
• Keep tools and equipment in working order.
• Follow safety protocols and meet all codes and regulations.
• Accurately document your work and repairs.
