JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for repairing HVAC and other air quality systems. The HVAC Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining, repairing, and cleaning this equipment within the facility, as well as identifying any dangerous features that could be harmful to users' health. The technician also performs routine cleaning, adjustments, repairs, and warranty maintenance. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily repairs, emergency responses, and preventive maintenance, documenting all work as required.
- Review work orders, estimate time and materials needed for repairs.
- Handle preventative maintenance and corrective repairs of HVAC rooftop units (RTUs).
- Supervise and inspect work performed by outside contractors.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations.
- Conduct daily inspections of HVAC units.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Perform all duties safely, adhering to company work rules and policies.
- Perform cleaning duties as assigned to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Assist in construction, preventative, routine, and breakdown maintenance of all facility equipment.
- Complete work orders promptly.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the facility's areas.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as needed.
- Contribute to a positive work environment through a positive attitude and self-motivation.
- Research and evaluate new methods to meet or exceed goals, adapting techniques and procedures based on applicable laws.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Vocational schooling, military training, certification, or experience in HVAC is required.
- Ability to climb, read, stand, walk, and routinely lift 25-50 lbs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; adaptable.
- 5-7 years of experience with commercial HVAC units.
- Possession of applicable certifications and licenses.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or in teams with good judgment and resourcefulness.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Compliance with all company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Legal and regulatory compliance for industry standards.
- Approval by the state regulating agency for cannabis industry employment.
- Regularly perform grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crawling, seeing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be 21 years or older and pass pre-employment screenings.
- Full knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and requirements to maintain 100% compliance.
- Ability to obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective communication skills.
