Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense Services seeks an environmental-control technician to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems across federal facilities. You will troubleshoot chillers, AHUs, controls, pumps and related equipment, ensuring safe, efficient operation.

The role requires at least 2 years of trade experience or a recognized trade certification, and familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience performing the craft or certification from a recognized trade school.
• Broad trade knowledge of mechanical principles for refrigeration and air conditioning.
• Experience and/or certification in predictive maintenance technologies (vibration, infrared, ultrasound).

Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair refrigeration and AC systems including chillers, AHUs, controls and pumps.
• Operate and inspect equipment to determine repairs and evaluate needs.
• Install components per design specifications and test for leaks.
• Calibrate and adjust systems for optimal performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain electrical/pneumatic systems.
• Handle safety procedures and routine shift coverage as required.
