Job summary

HES is a premier provider of facilities management services focused on educational institutions. We are seeking a full-time HVAC technician for 1st shift with rotating on-call responsibilities to support heating and ventilation systems across our facilities.

The candidate will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, document work, and cooperate with other trades. Opportunities include growth within a national program and benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Five years of commercial and residential HVAC experience.
• Troubleshoot using analytical skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and positive attitude.
• Must have basic hand tools.
• Understand Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Basic CMMS and BAS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete required maintenance, service, repair and installations on HVAC equipment and controls.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose system issues and perform checks on heating and ventilation equipment.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot problems across systems.
• Maintain documentation of work orders and parts issued.
• Operate shop tools for fabrication or repair tasks as needed.
• Stay familiar with areas served by HVAC systems and equipment.
• Participate in on-call duties and support other trades when required.
• Observe safety procedures and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Assist supervisor with methods improvement and reporting.
