Job summary
Covenant Woods seeks an experienced HVAC Journeyman to install, maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems across our facilities. You will read blueprints, interpret specs and ensure adherence to safety standards while supporting resident comfort and facility reliability.
The role includes preventive maintenance, repair of chillers and DX systems, and collaboration with other trades to optimize performance. A strong focus on safety and quality is required.
Qualifications
- HVAC Journeyman performs installation, maintenance, modification, overhaul and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Assist with general facility maintenance as needed.
- Adhere to Covenant Woods standards, code of conduct and commitment to resident service.
Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains, adjusts, modifies and overhauls refrigeration and air conditioning systems per blueprints and specs.
- Troubleshoots and repairs chillers, cooling towers, DX systems and related equipment.
- Diagnoses operating issues, documents findings and ensures safe, cost-effective repairs.
- Performs preventive maintenance and suggests major overhaul recommendations.
- Coordinates with other crafts to share knowledge and ensure reliability.
