Job summary

Indiana University Indianapolis Campus Facility Services is hiring an HVAC Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair complex HVAC systems across campus buildings.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with safety and building codes. Requires 5 years journeyman experience or equivalent certification; valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of verifiable journey-level HVAC experience or an approved related trade certificate.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by IU.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and tests.
• Read drawings/blueprints and follow safety and building codes.
• Assist with snow removal and other duties as needed.
