Job summary

Capstone Mechanical is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician in Bristol, TN to maintain and service HVAC/R equipment at commercial sites. This full-time role includes on-call rotation with a stipend and a schedule Monday–Friday.

Capstone emphasizes a people-first culture with mentorship, growth, and safety. You’ll work hands-on with RTUs up to 40 tons, participate in service calls, and log details in the internal software while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and mechanical skills.
• Strong communication abilities and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial HVAC/R equipment (RTUs up to 40 tons, split systems).
• Perform service repairs, quotes, installs, and maintenance for client locations.
• Participate in on-call rotation and log service details in internal software.
• Schedule service and quoted work using internal systems.
• Obtain part pricing and build quotes, following safety policies at all times.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Maintain commercial HVAC/R equipment (e.g., RTUs up to 40 tons, split systems, light refrigeration)
• Perform HVAC service repairs, quotes, installs, and maintenance for assigned customer locations
• Participate in on call rotation
• Log service details accurately using our internal software
• Schedules service, maintenance, and quoted work in internal software
• Obtains part pricing, and builds quotes
• Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times

Basic Requirements

• Commercial HVAC experience preferred
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and strong mechanical aptitude
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
• Ability to use hand/power tools, gauges, and testing equipment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check
• Willingness to obtain EPA & OSHA10 certifications (company-supported)

Physical Requirements

Comfortable working outdoors and on rooftops, in hot or cold conditions
