Job summary

The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) Construction Management Unit seeks one Air Condition (AC) Mechanic with knowledge in inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning, and related systems. The AC Mechanic works under direct supervision with other technicians to serve DANY facilities.

Qualifications

Two years of full-time satisfactory experience in AC maintenance preferred.
EPA 608 certification is required for refrigerants handling.
Experience reading blueprints and technical manuals is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain, install, inspect, test, alter, and repair air conditioners and components.
Use meters, soldering/brazing, and hand tools for repairs.
Read schematics/diagrams to perform AC work accurately.
Clean and lubricate AC components and systems.
Inspect and service window, split, and central AC units and controls.
Respond to alarms and coordinate with vendors for major repairs.
