The role requires familiarity with blueprints, hand tools, and power tools, with HVAC certification preferred. Able to lift 50 lbs, work weekends occasionally, and communicate effectively within a team.

Job Summary

• The HVAC Technician performs a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to the facilities engineering and maintenance departments. This is a 1st M-F schedule with occasional weekends.
• Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in the Computer Maintenance Management System using a mobile device or computer.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs, and diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems.
• Assists in making decisions on repairs and reports major problems to the Manger as appropriate.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power & hand tools and other vital equipment.
• Ice/Water Machine preventative maintenance and sanitizing.
• Supports project management activity as needed.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds, and completes P.M. work orders, tests, and inspections.
• Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
• Maintains shops and mechanical areas in a clean and safe manner.
• Preforms other duties as assigned.
• Experience as a Maintenance Technician
• HVAC certification or license highly preferred.
• Experience working with blueprints and schematics.
• A general understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Basic understanding and ability to apply hand-operated construction equipment.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and kneel/bend/stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.
• Organized and detailed on work and documentation
• Work in a team environment when requested
• Independent work as needed
• Good communication skills
• Healthcare experience preferred
• No On Call
