City Utilities is seeking an HVAC technician to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and monitor building control systems across CU facilities. You will coordinate with contractors, assist in purchasing, and update records to reflect current configurations and performance.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 4 years in heavy commercial HVAC service, and hands-on experience with Trane BAS and Johnson Controls DDC systems.

Pay Details: 1st 6 months: $32.13/hour 2nd 6 months: $34.14 3rd 6 months: $36.16 Thereafter: $38.16
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Description: PURPOSE OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Manager-Facility Systems, performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC equipment at various CU Facilities, troubleshoots system problems, and verifies the work of HVAC and other service contractors. Duties will also include monitoring computerized control systems from the duty station and from other remote locations, making system adjustments as needed and directed, and responding to system alarms.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certificate or coursework from accredited college, vocational, or trade school in a related field is required. Exceptional experience may be considered in lieu of college or vocational training on a year-for-year basis. Four years' progressively responsible experience in the heavy commercial HVAC service field, including experience monitoring and operating Trane Building Automation Systems and Johnson Controls DDC systems is required.
Physical requirements include: sitting, standing, grasping, bending, crouching, reaching, balancing, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and climbing. Must be able to lift materials and supplies (in cumbersome shapes and sizes) up to 75 pounds. Must be physically able to perform some custodial duties at heights. Must be able to work within the rated capacity of the Utility’s aerial lifts, ladders, fall restraint devices, and/or other related equipment.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
