JOB SUMMARY

Hourly Rate Range: $30.76 - $33.00

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, HVAC Technician position to join our Plant Operations department. The HVAC Technician will make component level repairs to various types of HVAC Systems and equipment (to 40 tons), as well as plumbing and electrical systems. Will demonstrate a high level of physical plant understanding and be willing to share his/her experiences with all other employees. Will complete other tasks as required. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health.

Competencies:

• Operates major systems components.
• Makes primary repairs to:
• Air conditioning
• Refrigeration
• Heating
• Ventilation
• Plumbing
• Electrical distribution systems
• Main water supply
• Any critical support systems
• Utilize computer & data stream software to handheld to receive and complete work requests and emails.
• Conducts electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and air conditioning system checks.
• Shows, teaches and explains HVAC systems to other staff members.
• Conducts rounds safety/routine both walking and driving.
• Demonstrate high level physical plant understanding.
• Prepares systems for inspections.
• Assists with snow removal.

Schedule: 7:00am-3:00pm Monday - Friday.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent and trade school certificate in HVAC.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrates compliance with the CHCC ASPIRE Standards of Performance.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License.
• 5+ years field experience as a HVAC Mechanic as well as competencies in plumbing and electrical systems.
• Possesses certificate or license in Refrigerant Handling and Recovery and Low Pressure Boilers.
• New Jersey Black Seal Low Pressure Boiler License, as well as Refrigerant Transition & Recovery Certificate required.
• Possesses certificate or license in specific field, i.e. carpentry, electrical, plumbing along with a proven track record in two other construction trades.
• Computer literacy.
