Job summary

Sodexo on West Chester University campus is seeking an HVAC Technician to service campus facilities. You will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, monitor performance, and respond to maintenance requests, ensuring safety and reliability.

You should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, EPA CFC Universal certification, and knowledge of commercial HVAC methods.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience.
• Holds EPA CFC Universal Certificate.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems including commercial setups.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
• Monitor HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance according to schedules.
• Respond to hot and cold calls, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Check, repair and/or replace valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes, etc.
• Attend work and be punctual for scheduled shifts.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts.

Pay Range

$35 per hour - $45 per hour

What You’ll Do

As a HVAC Technician at Sodexo, you are a problem-solver and safety promoter. We will rely on your expert knowledge and technical skills to identify repair and replacement needs. By keeping others safe, your actions have meaningful impact.

Responsibilities include

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
• Monitor HVAC systems and operations and ensure that routine preventive maintenance performs according to established schedules and standards
• Respond to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Check, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes, and other functional components of the system
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
• 1 or more years of related work experience.
• Holds appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done. Minimum requirement is EPA CFC Universal Certificate.
• Working knowledge of a variety of HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, variable air, variable refrigerant flow, single/multi-split and other commercial systems.
• May be required to have previous BMS experience if working in a commercial environment.
