Job summary

T. Webber Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric, part of TurnPoint Services, is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician for Cold Spring, NY. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain residential systems, delivering five-star customer service and safety-first workmanship.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of residential HVAC experience, EPA/NATE certification is a plus, and you must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics or crawlspaces. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Residential HVAC experience; EPA & NATE certification a plus.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and safe driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair boiler pumps, controllers, and system installations.
• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (boilers, furnaces, AC, heat pumps, etc.).
• Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Provide accurate invoices, timecards, and option sheets.
• Educate customers on products, services, and maintenance plans.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and stocked truck.
• Assist in training apprentices and collaborate with dispatch and CS teams.

T. Webber Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric is growing, and we're looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Cold Spring, NY.

If you're an experienced residential HVAC professional who takes pride in diagnosing problems, providing quality repairs, and delivering an excellent customer experience, we want to talk with you. We are seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with excellent customer service and takes pride in doing the job right the first time.

What We’re Looking For

• Technicians who will provide outstanding five-star customer service
• Technicians will have neat, clean, and quality workmanship.
• Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
• Perform necessary repairs and routine maintenance
• Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
• 3 years of Residential HVAC experience (EPA & NATE Certification is plus).
• Ability to lift over 50lbs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License, possess and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Must have and maintain hand tools of the trade.
• Must be able to multitask and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through ability.
• Highly motivated, self-starter who is flexible and has a positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills are required
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair boiler pumps, boiler controllers, and system installation.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various residential HVAC Systems: Boilers, Furnaces, Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps, Ductless, Air Purification, and Humidifiers
• Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of heating and cooling systems.
• Install, repair, and maintain commercial and residential systems
• Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies
• Establish customer rapport and educate customers on products and services.
• Discuss and assist in determining repair and replacement options with clients for their heating and cooling needs.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
• Be professional and knowledgeable to gain new referrals and repeat business.
• Work alongside Customer Service Representatives and dispatch team members.
• Perform preventative maintenance to increase the longevity of any HVAC system.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventilated truck.
• Participate in company-provided training opportunities and department meetings.
• Assist in training and mentoring apprentices to grow within their field.
• Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, and option sheets.
