Job summary

NH Ross is seeking an Experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician and/or Installer to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential properties in the Islip, NY area. You will work closely with homeowners to assess HVAC needs and deliver high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate has proven HVAC experience, valid certifications, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician or installer.
  • Valid HVAC certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, repairs, and installation procedures.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and team.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and Replace HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, and existing ductwork in residential settings
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose HVAC system malfunctions and provide effective solutions to repair them
  • Communicate with clients to explain service options, provide estimates, and address any questions
  • Maintain detailed records of services rendered and parts used during repairs and installations
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to provide clients with the best service possible

Job description
