Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on HVAC and related facility systems to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Travel between multiple facilities in Tampa, FL to service equipment.
• Maintain facility services, preventive maintenance, and inventory control.
• Inspect, calibrate, and replace parts to optimize HVAC performance.
• Record readings and adjust systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Follow safety procedures for hazardous materials and maintain a clean work area.
• Monitor external contractors' work quality and pricing when applicable.

Talascend is currently seeking an HVAC Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Tampa, Florida.

Overview

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across multiple sites in Tampa, Florida. This role requires technical expertise in HVAC systems, along with handyman skills in light plumbing and electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems to ensure proper operation and standards compliance.
• Travel between multiple facilities to ensure their proper functioning.
• Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance.
• Maintain HVAC and related equipment through cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and parts replacement to optimize performance.
• Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation.
• Follow safety procedures for hazardous material storage, usage, and disposal, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform periodic checks on tools and inventory.
• Monitor the quality and pricing of work performed by outside contractors.
• Comply with all safety and safety hazard prevention procedures.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, with a focus on commercial systems.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification.
