Job summary

Talascend is seeking an HVAC Technician for a contract opportunity in Tampa, Florida. The technician will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple sites, with hands-on duties in light plumbing and electrical work.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of HVAC experience, EPA 608 Type II certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot diverse systems while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5-7 years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience in commercial systems.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on HVAC and related facility systems to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Travel between multiple facilities in Tampa, FL to service equipment.
• Maintain facility services, preventive maintenance, and inventory control.
• Inspect, calibrate, and replace parts to optimize HVAC performance.
• Record readings and adjust systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Follow safety procedures for hazardous materials and maintain a clean work area.
• Monitor external contractors' work quality and pricing when applicable.
