Job summary

Ludlum Measurements, Inc. seeks a qualified HVAC Technician to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The technician will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for our facilities.

This is a full-time, in-person position with opportunities for growth. Responsibilities include installing units, ductwork, and thermostats, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience required.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification preferred.
• Physically able to work on HVAC units.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (cold/heat).
• Prolonged standing, kneeling, crawling or climbing ladders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Ability to safely use power and hand tools.
• Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person

Skills & Qualifications

• At least (2) one year of related work experience required
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification preferred
• Physically able to work on HVAC units
• Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling or climbing ladders
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
• Excellent analytical, logical and problem-solving skills
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
• Ability to safety use power and hand tools
• Ability to use thermostats, pressure gauges and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems
• Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems
• Ability to follow instructions
• Excellent mechanical skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail a must
