Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated hires an HVAC Technician to maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems across diverse properties in Round Rock, TX. You will diagnose mechanical/electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with engineers and contractors to upgrade systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of HVAC technical training program or apprenticeship.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems, electrical controls, and BAS.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and testing on HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, and rooftop units.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime and ensure performance.
• Respond to service calls and building emergencies, troubleshooting problems efficiently.
• Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS) to maintain temperature and energy efficiency.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment conditions using CMMS.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, property managers, and contractors for system upgrades and major repairs.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations.

As an HVAC Technician at JLL, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining critical building systems that keep our clients' facilities running smoothly and efficiently. You'll work independently and as part of a collaborative team to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across commercial properties. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and testing on HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, and rooftop units
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance
• Respond to service calls and building emergencies, troubleshooting problems efficiently and implementing effective solutions
• Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS) to maintain temperature control and energy efficiency standards
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment conditions using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Collaborate with engineering teams, property managers, and contractors to coordinate system upgrades and major repairs
• Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations while performing daily tasks

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of a recognized HVAC technical training program or apprenticeship
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC systems
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems, electrical controls, and building automation systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and navigate confined spaces

Preferred qualifications:

• Journeyman or Master HVAC license (state‑specific where applicable)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience in commercial real estate
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills

Location: Round Rock,TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
