Job Description

Provides heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including large and small mechanical equipment such as cooling towers, chillers, RTUs, boilers, and automation in an industrial setting.

• Install equipment, assemble, connect, and repair piping and refrigerant lines, install and maintain electrical controls, and check the voltage.
• Place equipment in operation and test for satisfactory operation. Adjust and document the operation of pumps, humidifiers, filters, and valves.
• Lubricate machinery and recharge systems with refrigerant.
• Examine equipment to detect defects such as leakage and faulty compressors and condensers.
• Clean, inspect, and service air conditioners, condensers, evaporators, and cooling towers.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair heating-cooling units, VAV boxes, fan-powered boxes, and air control valves.
• Inspect, evaluate, and adjust electric, electronic, and pneumatic control systems.
• Provide preventive maintenance, including checking and tightening belts, greasing motors, replacing bad belts, and changing filters.
• Assist with testing, adjusting, and balancing air distribution and hydronic systems.
• Assist with testing critical building systems such as emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, UPS, and building automation systems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory used in maintenance and repair work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of HVAC experience preferred, especially with large mechanical equipment in an industrial setting.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently and in a team.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, working 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating emergency on-call schedule and some weekend overtime as needed. Candidates living within commuting distance to Lancaster, PA, are encouraged to apply.
