Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. You will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, maintaining records, and adhering to safety and building codes. A valid EPA certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
• EPA Certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical controls, refrigeration cycles, and building automation systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and perform corrective repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, rooftop units, and split systems.
• Monitor system performance and recommend repairs or upgrades as needed.
• Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance calls in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and applicable building codes.
• Test equipment and verify proper system operation following repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and team members regarding equipment status and repair recommendations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
