Position Summary

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial clients. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve performance and extend equipment life.
• Install new HVAC systems and components according to specifications and blueprints.
• Test system performance using appropriate tools and adjust controls for proper operation.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer communications.
• Respond promptly to service calls and provide exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with other trades and departments to complete projects efficiently.
• Provide recommendations for system improvements and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or HVAC degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and dependable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to stand, climb, and work at heights for extended periods.
