Job summary

Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an HVAC Technician for a full-time onsite role at our Harrisburg facility. The position requires HVAC knowledge and at least two years of maintenance experience in a health-related setting. A post-offer background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, modify, troubleshoot, repair HVAC systems in a nursing facility.
• Troubleshoot power and control wiring, electrical systems as needed.
• Possess plumbing knowledge for water and steam systems.
• Manage repair costs while minimizing inefficiencies.
• Monitor systems and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safety procedures and OSHA requirements are followed.

Requirements of theHVAC Technician:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a maintenance department in a health-related Facility
• Must be knowledgeable of HVAC practices and procedures in nursing care facilities
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the HVAC Technician:

• Install, service, modify, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair HVAC systems and equipment in a residential establishment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations
• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, or replace Power, and/or control wiring/circuit
• Must be able to troubleshoot electronic controls, possess electrical knowledge, and have plumbing knowledge of both water and steam systems
• Manage repair costs while minimizing inefficiencies
• Monitors HVAC systems and operations and ensures that routine preventive maintenance is performed according to established schedules and standards
• Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work
