Job summary

The Naz Church in Grove City, OH seeks an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This full-time position carries a 40-hour work week with day hours, plus a rotating Sunday and on-call schedule to support campus events.

You will maintain and repair campus HVAC, refrigeration equipment, and general building systems while keeping detailed service records and ensuring safety and reliability for our facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of commercial HVAC experience.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
• NATE and/or HVAC Excellence certification preferred.

Job description

The Naz is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance team. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this full-time role is responsible for maintaining safe, comfortable, efficient, and reliable facilities across our campus.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair campus HVAC and mechanical systems

Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, and walk-in units

Perform preventative maintenance and assist with seasonal equipment needs

Maintain accurate service and maintenance records

Assist with general building maintenance and repairs

Provide facility support for church services, school activities, athletic events, and other campus needs

Participate in a rotating Sunday and on-call schedule

Respond to occasional after-hours facility emergencies as needed

Perform other duties as assigned

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, primarily Monday through Friday during daytime hours. The HVAC Technician will also participate in a Sunday rotation approximately every three weeks and a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of commercial HVAC experience

EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required

Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration repair required

NATE and/or HVAC Excellence certification preferred

Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance beneficial

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the Facilities team

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces

Ability to safely use ladders, hand and power tools, and work on roofs or at elevated heights as needed

Willingness to obtain additional department‑required safety and equipment certifications within the first six months of employment
