The Budd Group is seeking an HVAC Technician I in Front Royal, VA to install, maintain, repair and upgrade HVAC systems, and to diagnose and repair components as needed. You will read blueprints, record measurements, and document work performed to ensure safe, efficient operation.
This hourly, non-exempt role is based on a Monday–Friday schedule with potential night or weekend emergencies. A valid license and CFC certification are preferred. Training opportunities are provided.

The HVAC Technician I is responsible for providing HVAC services with specific responsibility of repair and/or identifying equipment replacement needs; in installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades and ensuring that tools and materials are available at the job site.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.Certificate degree or two-year degree from a trade or community college in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CFC certification (Universal or Type II). Valid driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE: Requires one to three years’ experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting HVAC service issues.
SKILLS: Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals. Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with arms and hands. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift / move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc. including AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses. The noise level is usually moderate.
