Legendary Service Inc in Mundelein, IL is seeking an HVAC Technician (Installers & Service Technician) to diagnose, repair and maintain a variety of heating and cooling systems for residential and commercial clients.

The role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a customer‑facing approach. You’ll work on-site at customer locations, participate in on‑call rotations, and contribute to a fast‑growing team that values professional development.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, repair and maintain HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Strong communication to explain issues and solutions to customers.
• EPA certification and valid driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems for heating and cooling issues.
• Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Accurately assess humidity and air quality needs, and recommend solutions.
• Communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues and solutions in a professional manner.
• Maintain timely and accurate service records using company-provided technology.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours service needs.
• Follow company procedures and safety protocols to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC service, installation, or maintenance.
• Knowledge of standard heating and cooling systems, including diagnostics and repairs.
• Understanding of humidity control, air quality and system balancing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions accurately.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Timeliness and reliability are essential.
• Personable, professional and able to build rapport with clients.
• EPA certification required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday, with overtime and on-call rotation as needed.
