Job summary

Aerotek in Dallas, TX seeks an HVAC Technician for a contract role supporting client sites. You will perform Level 1–3 pre-commissioning activities on HVAC systems and complete punch list repairs (electrical, mechanical, and HVAC) under the Project Leader's supervision.

The role requires basic refrigeration knowledge, HVAC tooling proficiency, and at least 2 years of industrial HVAC experience. Onsite work, with potential overtime, at a data-center environment.

Qualifications

• Basic refrigeration knowledge.
• Proficiency with HVAC tools: manifolds, gauges, and pressure testing.
• Industrial HVAC experience: minimum 2 years.

Job Title: HVAC Technician - PER DIEM INCLUDED $150

Job Description

Join our team in Abilene or Claude, TX to perform Level 1 to Level 3 pre-commissioning activities on client HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for completing punch list repairs, including minor electrical, mechanical, and HVAC tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete L1-L3 pre-commissioning activities for HVAC systems.
• Perform punch list repairs as directed, including minor electrical, mechanical, and HVAC items.
• Work under the supervision of the Project Leader to complete mechanical and electrical punch list items.
• Handle HVAC and chiller punch list items, and potentially handle refrigerant during repairs if licensed.
• Use HVAC tools such as manifolds and gauges for pressure testing.
• Comfortably work at heights of up to 15 feet.

Essential Skills

• Basic refrigeration knowledge.
• Proficiency with HVAC tools: manifold, gauges, and pressure testing.
• Industrial HVAC experience (minimum 2 years).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Current or past EPA certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• LOTO certification.
• EPA Cert/Universal 608.
• Ability to obtain certifications such as the person 70e (2025) if not currently held.

Work Environment

Work in a construction environment at a data center, with a safety-oriented culture. Enjoy a flexible start time between 5-7 am, and be open to overtime and weekend work. A 3-hour safety orientation is provided on the first day. Personal protective equipment is provided, while associates must provide their own tools.

This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
