Job summary

Peter Levi Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Drains in Concord, CA is seeking an HVAC Service Technician with a strong background in service and repair of residential systems. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs, with focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities include site visits, testing systems, duct work, IAQ solutions, stocking fleet tools, and advising customers on additional services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and installation experience.
• EPA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair for residential heating and air conditioning systems.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications, while delivering excellent customer service.
• Maintain, and repair HVAC systems; duct replacement and IAQ solutions.
• Travel to job sites in service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedule.
• Maintain stock, tools, parts, and safety equipment in the fleet vehicle.
• Diagnose service issues, replace parts, calibrate systems per manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain issues to customers.

Location: Concord, CA and surrounding areas.

Compensation: $90,000-$250,000 annually, depending on experience and performance

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC service and repair, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of HVAC systems. The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for performing HVAC services, and repairs on HVAC systems, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

What will I do?

• Service and repair for residential heating and air conditioning systems.
• Inspect and test systems to verify plan and specification standards of compliance, while providing the highest level of customer service.
• Maintain, and repair HVAC systems; duct replacement and IAQ solutions
• Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained
• Maintain proper stock, tools, parts, and safety equipment in the fleet vehicle.
• Diagnose service issues, replace parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and communicate fully with the customer on the issues and solutions.
• Identify and consult the customer about additional/new/upgraded services or systems

What do I need?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and installation of residential HVAC systems, duct replacement and IAQ solutions
• EPA Certification preferred
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
