Job summary

Onni Group is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems to support site objectives.

You will handle preventative maintenance, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely completion of work orders while delivering excellent tenant service. Candidate should have a high school diploma/GED, 4+ years in manufacturing, HVAC certification, and strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience preferred.
• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
• 4+ years manufacturing experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.
• HVAC Universal certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on water-supplied heat pumps and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related building systems.
• Ensure timely work order completion and quality workmanship.
• Provide excellent tenant service and support to maintain high living standards.
• Assist with vendor coordination, bids, and external contractor supervision.

The HVAC Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility HVAC equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.

What You Will Do

• Schedules, monitors and/or performs preventative maintenance on all water supplied heat pumps.
• Diagnoses problems and repairs in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliances.
• Ensures that work order requests are responded to promptly and professionally.
• Ensures residential units have been turned in a timely and efficient manner, as well as determines if work has been completed properly.
• Provides excellent customer service to prospective and current tenants, and promotes a quality living experience for all residents.
• Provides on-call service when scheduled and performs emergency maintenance work when required.
• Inspects buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness, and alerts Maintenance to items that need to be repaired.
• Assists supervisor with scheduling and communicating with vendors and contractors.
• Assists supervisor with obtaining bids from outside contractors, as well as oversees contractor work for completeness.
• Assists with purchasing maintenance supplies for the property while staying within the planned budget.
• Accurately prepares and submits property invoices in accordance with established guidelines.
• Communicates with supervisor regarding the overall maintenance function of the property.
• Participates in Company-provided training such as fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention.
• Complies with all Company National Standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws

What You Bring

• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
• Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus
• Four or more years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC; vacuum furnace experience is preferred
• HVAC Universal certification a must.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
