Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Travel HVAC Service Technician to support an HVAC client. The role requires managing travel logistics, including flights, rental cars, and hotel stays, and performing startup and commissioning of basic air conditioning equipment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with mechanical and electrical contractors across mission-critical environments, commissioning rooftop units and CRAH equipment, and training site staff while demonstrating a strong willingness to learn

Qualifications

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Travel HVAC Service Technician for an HVAC client. This role involves extensive travel, including managing flights, dealing with airline cancellations, and arranging rental cars and hotel accommodations. The technician will be responsible for the startup and commissioning of basic air conditioning equipment, coordinating with mechanical and electrical contractors, and representing our equipment throughout the commissioning process. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing travel logistics, performing startup and commissioning on various air conditioning equipment such as chilled water CRAH units, rooftop package units (160 tons), and condensing units (160 tons). Additionally, the technician will coordinate with mechanical and electrical contractors to ensure smooth operation and commissioning of equipment, provide training, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

Skills and Requirements

• 4+ years of HVAC experience in general repairs, service, installation, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
• Trade school or college equivalent education.
• Willingness to travel 100%Plusses:Experience in mission-critical environments.
