Job summary

The Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Villas is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic III to maintain our luxury property. You will oversee preventative maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas.

That role requires EPA Section 608 Certification, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with Windows-based maintenance tracking systems.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred) required.
• Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
• Experience with life-safety systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance techniques.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems for maintenance tracking.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics (preferred).
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and reliable, with the ability to cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Shift coverage across various maintenance areas with attention to detail and quick troubleshooting.
• Perform preventative maintenance on major equipment and systems to ensure longevity and efficiency.
• Utilize Windows-based systems to manage and track maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to aid in system repairs and improvements.
• Maintain and troubleshoot life-safety systems to ensure guest and team member safety.
