Job summary

Facility Services Management Inc. is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to install, service and repair environmental control systems in office buildings and other commercial facilities. The role covers preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and system optimization to ensure reliable operation.

You will read blueprints, fabricate ductwork, connect controls, and perform tests to verify performance. A valid driver's license, ability to pass a background check, and applicable licenses are required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Must possess a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
Ability to read and write English.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Must possess or be able to obtain a NACI clearance.
All state or federal license requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

Installs, services and repairs environmental control systems in office buildings and commercial establishments.
Mounts and installs compressor/condenser units following blueprints or specs.
Fabricates and installs ductwork and chassis parts; installs evaporator units.
Cuts and bends tubing, joins pipes, solders joints and installs valves.
Connects motors, controls and fans to control panels and power source; installs filters.
Performs pressure tests and checks joints prior to refrigerant installation.
Monitors gauges and adjusts controls to ensure proper operation.
Wraps pipes with insulation and secures them properly.
Replaces defective breakers and installs units up to 400-ton capacity in facilities.
May install, repair and service A/C and chillers in commercial facilities.
