Job summary

Control Solutions Group, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented HVAC Controls Design Drafter to join our engineering team. You will produce precise schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings for building automation systems (BMS/BAS) and update floorplans with SVGs in Illustrator.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop as-builts, review Sequences of Operation, and ensure documentation meets CAD standards. This is a full-time, in-office NYC role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or equivalent in Drafting/Design or Mechanical Technology.
• Minimum 1–2 years AutoCAD drafting experience in HVAC controls, building automation, or electrical schematics.
• Strong ability to read mechanical plans and electrical schematics.
• Proficient with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft technical drawings: control schematics, floorplans, wiring diagrams, system layouts, panel details.
• Maintain CAD standards and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Map system logic: IO summaries and Sequences of Operation integration.
• Coordinate with engineers, PMs, and field technicians to resolve design changes.
• Maintain project files, track revisions, and process submittals.
