Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in HVAC system design, preferably commercial projects.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of HVAC principles, load calculations, and energy efficiency standards.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local building codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC system designs including load calculations, duct layouts, and equipment selection.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate HVAC systems into architectural and structural plans.
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications using CAD and BIM software.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national codes and standards.
• Support project managers during construction to address design-related issues.
• Stay current with emerging HVAC technologies and sustainable design practices.
