Job summary

AIRO Mechanical in Asheville is seeking an HVAC Superintendent to lead HVAC projects from start to finish. You will oversee on-site installations, ensure safety, quality, and timely completion, and coordinate with technicians, subcontractors, and other trades.

The role requires proven leadership, strong knowledge of HVAC systems, and the ability to read plans and specs. OSHA 10 certification is preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC Superintendent in commercial and industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation methods.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices in construction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
• HVAC-related certifications and licenses a plus.
• A valid driver’s license.

Position Summary

You will be responsible for managing all on-site aspects of HVAC installations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion. • Lead and manage HVAC projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution, to meet project objectives and client expectations.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of HVAC technicians, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project.
• Ensure that HVAC installations comply with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.

• Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing project updates as needed.

• Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
• Assist in monitoring project budgets and controlling costs effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Frequently communicates with the public (e.g., potential clients, job candidates, vendors) via phone, email, and in‑person, as well as colleagues, on assigned tasks and projects.
