Job summary

Woods Comfort Systems is seeking an HVAC Start‑Up Technician to join our growing team in Texas. You will perform start-up, testing, and warranty work on residential systems while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality standards.

A sign-on bonus is available for currently employed technicians, with a schedule of Monday–Friday and occasional weekends or on-call shifts. The role offers a competitive pay range from $40,000 to $70,000 per year, plus comprehensive

Qualifications

• EPA Certification & TDLR required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC technical schooling preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across equipment types.
• Experience making repair or replacement recommendations.
• Ability to obtain low-voltage license within 2 years.
• Advanced customer service skills.
• Ability to obtain NATE certification within 1 year.
• Willingness to take initiative and assume leadership responsibilities.
• Safe operation of scissor and genie lifts.
• Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices.
• Understanding of air balancing principles and techniques.

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000 -

(Available for currently employed Start‑Up Technicians)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm (1‑hour lunch) Some weekends & on‑call rotation

Compensation:

$40,000-$70,000 per year
