Job summary

Atlantic Constructors Inc. seeks a dynamic HVAC Start Up / Commissioning Technician to support field teams and oversee maintenance and commissioning tasks. The role requires surveying repairs, creating repair scenarios, and implementing solutions, with a background in Controls or HVAC.

Responsibilities include setting up HVAC systems, coordinating client tasks, supervising project work, and ensuring safety and documentation standards are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC trade field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
• Previous experience in an operational and customer facing role.
• In-depth knowledge of two or more of: plumbing, electrical, HVAC cooling and ducted air systems, general construction practices, generator systems, controls systems.
• Excellent building services knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must multitask, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures.
• Must be available to work assigned schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Set up and implementation of HVAC systems, starting them up and successfully programming them.
• Work with multiple clients to schedule and successfully perform assigned tasks.
• Supervise tasks and projects assigned.
• Investigate, evaluate, and recommend changes and modifications to improve safety.
• Maintain inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance records.
• Manage employee time records and daily activity reports.
• Participate in safety inspections, job safety analyses, and safety meetings.
• Testing of new equipment / repair equipment to design specifications.
